next week @ powerhouse we r having the capricorn band coming to play 4 us. they have a pretty good reputation 4 playing sensational music. IT WILL BE AWESOME. so come to powerhouse next week and have lots of fun

coming up in powerhouse
coming up in powerhouse we are starting up our very own live band it is going to be awesome.
GOD
god doesnt give us the things we want god makes it hard for us because if god made it easy for us than we woyuldnt need god in our lives. god is a clever guy because he makes it hard for us so that when we are i trouble or need help we can go to Godand do you know what god says to that he says THANK-YOU, OH YEAH THATS WHAT I LIKE, I LOVE BEING ASKED FOR HELP.
I went to youth alive on saturday with wes, aaron and jono(the IT department). it went for the whole day and we all enjoyed it. we took notes and one of the speakers James Mcpherson he said 'god doesnt give us things, we have to put something out there for God to work on' and that is absolutely 100%correct if we dont put something out there for god to work on then god would be so bored up heaven twiddling his thumbs. nothing would get done so put something out there it might be stupid but god thinks nothing is stupid. if others say that what you put out there is stupid then you say to them 'at least i have something to say that is positive'
then after youth alive there was a bus load of people from our corp who came for the concert and there were heaps of people giving there heart to god or recomitting there hearts.

powerhouse is open to anybody who is interested in music praying and singing for the glory of god. it doesnt matter if there are five people at powerhouse those five people are interested and excited to praise the awesome guy up there in heaven, but i am not saying the 200 people isnt good 200 people is excellent.

sunday night(the event)
tonight was awesome it was excellent. for those of us that went thoroughly enjoyed the night.
powerhouse is open to anyone who is interested in having fun, loud music, and meeting brand new excellent people. my time at powerhouse i have made heaps of new friends.

thats right wb this sunday should most definately be worth coming to.

Special Guest for the Event
David Hawke is coming to as the special guest for The Event. He is an awesome communicator to kids and youth alike.
It would be a great shame if your non christian friends missed out on hearing what God has to say through him.
For those of you who don't know him he is a salvo officer and the Senior Pastor of a Salvo Church in the Woolongong area (south of Sydney). And God has given him a real passion to see young people come into a real relationship with Jesus.
Deadset legend on all counts as far as I can see.
So don't forget to invite your friends.
And come to the weekend expecting that you will be challenged to get more serious about getting to know Jesus.

Last Sunday night we had some new stuff at Powerhouse the game and new adverts from Planetshakers.

In the Park on Saturday start at 9:30am but help is needed from 8:30am
Sunday is Church at 9:30am and will be totally kid focussed

I heard catalyst practicing tonight and they sounded pretty hot.
Make sure that you invite your friends to what should be a great opportunity to share Jesus with them and have a huge mosh pit.

David is the best speaker i have ever heard he has helped me to focus on god.

Meetings this Sunday

How good is it that the Salvos have finally bought EASYWORSHIP. It will make church on Sundays very cool.
Anyway this week, the Shelleys are preaching in the morning and at night we are finding out in the sermon why we are here, and what our purpose is.

Powerhouse this Sunday night will have some new facets to the meeting never seen before.
As always this would be a great opportunity to bring your friends as they will have an opportunity to meet Jesus for the first time if they don't know him already.
My dream is to see everything that happens at powerhouse and the greater church being reflective of Jesus in all we do.
Being On Fire Christians is nice. Faith is not suppose to be a secret but instead shared with all that we meet. Whether that is through our words actions or thoughts.

Powerhouse Youth is excited to announce that at the Salvos at 5pm 14th October 2007 we are having a combined youth night.

I have just been to the National Youth Ministry Convention on the Gold Coast with nearly 500 youth workers from across the world.
The guest speakers and lecturers have really challenged me in the way that I view youth ministry as well as ministry in general.
This is the first of many postings that I will make. Some will be personal and some will be about the amazing things that God is doing in Powerhouse Youth.
